Darwin Lodge of Remembrance No 182, was consecrated 2 July 1951
There was a surge of popularity of Freemasonry in general at the end of the Second World War with many ex-servicemen joining lodges, and Darwin was no exception.
A second craft lodge, meeting on a different night to the already established Port Darwin Lodge, but sharing the same Masonic building in Mitchell Street, became necessary to accommodate the increased members.
